Upcoming and Announcements

Family Soup-Making, Thursday, November 21 at 6 p.m.
Each Saturday morning, the Soup Bowl gathers to feed our hungry neighbors. You are always welcome to participate in person in this ministry, but recognizing that Saturday mornings are often difficult for families, we are offering a way to support the Soup Bowl in a different way as we enter the colder season. On November 21 at 6 p.m., we will host a community soup-making opportunity for families. Join us to prepare soups that can be frozen and served at the Soup Bowl at a later date. After cooking, we will share a communal meal in the Parish Hall. Please email Gabriela to let us know you’ll be there (not required, but helpful).

20s/30s Friendsgiving Dinner, Saturday, November 23 at 7 p.m.
Join us for a festive potluck supper on the evening of Saturday, November 23 at 7 p.m. in the Rectory. We’ll take care of the turkey! Potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, pie, or a side of your choice would be much appreciated.

Donations Needed for Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution
The Food Cupboard needs your help this Thanksgiving as we are preparing to distribute 200 (!) turkeys to our clients. To help make their holiday more festive, we are in need of the following nonperishable side dishes - Canned Goods: Corn, Green beans, Mixed Vegetables, Sweet Potatoes/Yams, Cranberry Sauce and Boxed: Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Corn muffin mix. Please leave them in the designated drop-off area by the Soft Space or deliver to the Parish Office.

Volunteers Needed for Turkey Distribution
Volunteers are needed for our annual turkey distribution! On Monday, November 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  for packing bags of sides, some lifting will be required. On Tuesday, November 26, we need parishioners with vehicles and able-bodied helpers to assist in transporting turkeys from Manna in Fairmount to Saint Mark’s in the morning.  Then from 1 to 3 p.m. additional volunteers are needed for the distribution itself.

If you have questions about donations or volunteering, please contact John De Witt Walsh or call the Parish Office at (215) 735-1416 ext. 104.

Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
The Parish Office will close on Wednesday, November 27 at 1 p.m. and will reopen on December 2. There will be a Low Mass with hymns on Thanksgiving Day at 10 a.m., and one Low Mass each day on November 28 and 29 at 10 a.m.
