Season of Stewardship 2024

Saint Mark’s Stewardship Committee is thrilled to invite you to embark on a unique and meaningful pilgrimage of faith this stewardship season. The pilgrimage will center around intentional prayers for Saint Mark’s: its place in our lives, our neighborhood, the church, and the world, and how we can be good stewards of its legacy and future.

For six weeks–beginning on Monday, October 7, and culminating with Commitment Sunday on November 17–please join us in setting and tracking personal goals for your pilgrimage. A pilgrimage can take a lot of shapes! You can count steps or miles walking, running, or biking. You can count hours spent in prayer at home. You can count stitches stitched in meditative needlepoint. You can count minutes spent in Rittenhouse Square prayerfully discussing Saint Mark’s with a friend. The critical thing about a pilgrimage is that it is a time to carry special intentions for oneself and others. More details on tracking below.

The Stewardship Committee is offering guided group walks and resources for individual prayerful pilgrimage–available at the beginning of October–for you to take with you on your pilgrimage and instructions for tracking your pilgrim progress. We invite you to consider journeying in various ways: alone, with a friend, and/or by joining us at a series of group walks.

Plan to join us on Commitment Sunday, November 17, when we will celebrate the annual renewal of our financial commitment to Saint Mark’s, and reveal the total miles and hours spent together in our shared pilgrimage!

Other Activities
If physical activities are not the best fit for you, please choose another activity that fits with your hobbies and interests. The important thing is to be intentional with your time and energy through prayer and meditation. Keep track of your progress in a method that works for you because we are excited to hear about your own personal pilgrim’s progress!
